Costing USD25.5 million when first built in 1966, the Coliseum underwent renovations and became home to the Oakland Athletics, the Oakland Raiders and the Golden State Warriors. Fans gather well in advance of home games for all-out tailgate parties in the parking lot. Each Year Alameda Civic Light Opera,ACLO, presents a program of contemporary and traditional musical theater works and limited engagement special events in the historic Kofman Theater and other Bay Area venues.
