March 28, 2015 6:15 PM

A favorite across the country, "The Dinner Detective" serves up a tasty whodunit along with a seated four-course dinner. And since this popular comic murder mystery is set in the present day, you'll never know whether someone at your table is one of the talented cast of improvisers. In fact, everyone's a suspect, including you. The event starts out with a reception featuring tray-passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by the meal, which includes salad, an entree and dessert. Between courses you can expect plenty of murder, mayhem and hidden clues coming to light as you puzzle through the crime. The top sleuth even wins a prize package at the end of the evening -- not to mention serious bragging rights.

»PONCHO SANCHEZ

March 28, 2015 7:30 PM

Mexican-American percussionist Poncho Sanchez has been a mainstay in the music industry since he began his foray into sound as a teenager. Born in Laredo, Texas in 1951 and raised in a Los Angeles suburb, Poncho navigated the local live music scene while teaching himself the flute, guitar, timbales and congas. After a stint in his mentor Cal Tjader's band, he began making a name for himself with the release of his fourth studio albumSonando! in 1982. While known primarily as a Latin artist, the conga virtuoso has created a jazzy, funky, soulful sound that can't be pigeonholed into any one category -- his live shows and LPs blend elements of rock, swing, salsa, rumba and blues, just to name a few.
